Sunflowers: A Symphony of Joy, then the stark Reality

Today's journey is taking us through a sunflower field. I love sunflowers. I like being in a field of tall sunflowers with big bright yellow heads traveling toward the sun. This gives me so much joy. The sunflower heads seem to provide so much joy and hope.

My first four images of this post captured this existing feeling. Everything is there down to the last head hairs on the stem and all of those little blooms which ultimately come together to produce this large bloom. The way they look amazes me how nature can create something that appears complete and perfect. Sunflowers are not only beautiful flowers, they represent summer, light, and growth. I try to gather all of the positive energy from sunflowers every time I go to shoot the photograph!

Unfortunately, there is another side to them that I would like to show you with the last photo. This is a sad indicator of the sad to see, in this instance, extreme drought. It is quite the contrast to see the initial photos, which are so beautiful, take a turn to the reality. The ground was cracked, dry as bone, and you could feel how life was suffering. It is alarming to see nature, which gives us so much beauty, struggle under these conditions. Nature finds a way, not every plant will survive at the end of the day.

I hope you enjoyed these photos and my thoughts related to them. In closing, let's all remember how essential it is to protect and respect our nature, so we can enjoy fields of such impressive sunflowers in the future.🙃✌️
