A Quiet Walk into Spring.

I waited a long time this winter for the beginning of spring. Almost longingly. And now that life is returning, I'm even happier, and it fills me with great contentment. Each year, I experience these changes more intensely. I pay more attention to details and delve deeper into nature itself.

I captured a few moments. Not because they were so special, but because they are simply so present.

The interesting thing about this first photo is that I took it deep in wild boar territory. The earth around me had been disturbed by the wild boars, but they hadn't touched the flowers. Very fascinating. It's as if the animals themselves are the forest's best gardeners.

Everywhere in the forest I find little surprises shining out and shining. I can't miss them if I move carefully. I spend a lot of time outside and this winter has been really harsh with its cold. The cold is definitely not for me. Nope... I wouldn't mind at all if it were warm all year round, but you can't change the rhythm of nature. Which is a good thing. The end of winter is also a time of anticipation for me, and anticipation is, as we all know, one of the greatest joys. The best thing about it is that Mother Nature never disappoints in this regard.

Last weekend, I came across this beautiful, yet strange-looking mushroom in the woods. It's called a false morel, and it usually grows from March to May. Another thing to keep in mind, and something I didn't know for a long time, is that this mushroom is highly poisonous. You'd almost guess from the look of it. It looks like everything but edible. You'd normally expect to find this mushroom in coniferous forests, but there were mostly deciduous trees around it.

This is my very first post on this platform. I really need to find my way around here first. It's a bit overwhelming, but I think I'll gradually understand how everything works. So please bear with my first post if it isn't perfect. I came across this community and thought it would be a great opportunity to take part. I spend a lot of time outdoors in nature, or rather deep in the forest. It's my place to be. I find peace there, and it's part of the healing process for my psyche, something I've struggled with a lot over the last 10-15 years. Out there, I'm not judged; I can just be, and that feels so good and gives me security when dealing with difficult times. But I'm also much more excited about being able to share these moments out here now.

Thanks for reading and for noticing my post. I encounter a lot out there in the forest, and I think I'll share it here from time to time. Have a wonderful day and...get out into nature!🙃✌️
