Harvest papaya
One day I went to the garden. A friend invited me to his garden to harvest papaya. We left around 11 o'clock in the afternoon. The weather was bright, and the journey to the garden took about an hour. Before reaching the garden, we stopped in the middle, but the atmosphere had already entered the hills.
We got out of the car and headed towards a river. From the car parking lot, you could hear the sound of water flowing over the rocks. The cold air was felt, and as we approached the river the mood became very peaceful. I smiled seeing such a beautiful river with very clear water. I immediately dipped my feet into the water, and washed my face to recover from the slight feeling of fatigue. For almost half an hour we sat on a large rock by the river, smoking several cigarettes while telling stories. Then we continued our journey to the garden.
There was a garden guard there who was waiting for us. And a pile of picked honey papaya. The taste of papaya is sweet like honey, which is why it is called honey papaya. My friend and I lifted one coconut from the pile into the car. And then, we are ready to distribute the papaya to traditional markets.
And we met mr. Amri. So he talked his cengkeh garden to us. And many problem about his community.
What a delightful adventure! The serene river and the sweet honey papayas sound like a perfect day out. Your story made me feel like I was there, dipping my feet in the cool water and enjoying the fresh air. Thanks for sharing this charming experience! 🌿🍈
