Another pedestrian Friday walking through the daily routine in near-autopilot while pondering both the void and the specificity of my existence

I had a dream a decade ago

I was walking out in the country

Far, far away from anything constructed and human

It was only me, the hills, the grasses swaying in the wind and the horizon

Some time passed and a light airplane appeared flying overhead

I looked up

...

Suddenly it was in trouble

On fire and falling fast

It crash-landed in front of me

I ran over to the wreckage to help the pilot

When I saw

The pilot was me
