Greetings to all the community, i hope you are enjoying the Soccer World Cup and the atmosphere before the Christmas holidays and more importantly that you are very well.
As we walked through Caracas, we arrived at Plaza Bolivar. A place located in the historic center of the city. For as long as i can remember, this square has been characterized by one very interesting thing, the squirrels. This is what i have liked the most about this square since i have known it, people usually come and bring some peanuts, cotufas... and with some luck they can feed the squirrels with their own hands. Recognizing and remembering the place where we were, i kept looking at the trees in search of these curious little animals.
Before meeting the squirrels, my sister and i sat down to tend to the baby. That was the right place for a front page photo of the Caracas Cathedral.
Before we knew it, one of the squirrels was descending from one of the trees next to the bench where we were sitting. Immediately people began to come to witness the event, one of them with food in hand.
Look how he clings with his hind legs and eats with his front legs.
The girl was a little scared and every time one of the squirrels came down, she would let out a scream and the squirrel would climb up. For the squirrels it seems that these cries are normal because they didn't climb up much, they waited a bit and gave the girl a chance to calm down and give them food.
They continued like this for a while, the squirrels taking turns to take the food that the people gave them. Aside from the squirrels, we noticed that the plaza was already being decorated, so that was an extra bonus on our walk.
¡Hola Hive!
Hello Hive!
And of course, the plaza itself, where you can see a beautiful fountain adorned with cherubs and a statue of Bolivar on a rearing horse.
In the pictures you can see that it is a very crowded place and it is so, the times we just passed by, there were always many people doing various activities, some selling things, playing chess or dominoes, or just resting for a while.
Regarding the squirrels i think, as these little animals usually shy away from people and are hard to see where i live, i was very excited the first time i saw that in this plaza you could interact with them. As a child, i remember giving them some peanuts that they gave me as a gift. On this occasion, i was left with the desire, because i had nothing to give them jajaj.
This day we were also just passing through the square, but i was very happy that we stopped, well that my nephew stopped us here, he to eat and we to appreciate the square as it should be, although there were several things to show.
Seeing that the squirrels were still in the plaza made me very happy. It gives me to understand that people care and take care of them, and next to this, you will agree with me that they are one of the most important attractions of the Plaza Bolivar in Caracas.

In my city, we have many squares in different corners of the city to indicate a certain area. Just like there, several squares in my city also have fountains
Oh, I think it's fun to feed the squirrels. but still be careful maybe squirrels can attack humans under certain conditions :)
I noticed that the typical Bolivar squares here in Venezuela have shown a similar format. Around them are always surrounded by very important buildings for the city, some like a cathedral or church, the mayor's office or governor's office and perhaps a police command. For this plaza, apart from the Cathedral, i also recognized the legislative palace. I suppose, the rest of the Bolivar squares in Venezuela emulate this format, almost by law of the leaders of those times. Maybe i will visit more Bolivar squares to confirm this or i don't know if other users will share their own Bolivar squares.
That's true, nature is always unpredictable. But, it was an attraction i definitely had to share. I really hope those types of accidents didn't happen.
Thank you very much for stopping by another one of my posts.

¡Saludos!
