I am finally on holiday and this week Stefan and I visit Praha in Czech Republik, Dresden and swiss saxony in Germany. The first day in Praha was already great and we saw a lot of nice sights here. Fortunately the weather was great in the first day and we could do a lot of walking through the City.

Here are some first Impressions from today.

Nice that the weather cooperated so you could roam Prague right away. Your step counter must be glowing after all that city wandering. With Dresden and Saxon Switzerland next, are you thinking of a quick Bastei hike or maybe a river cruise? Grab a trdelník as a reward, you’ve earned it.

Yes Bastei hike and rivercruise are in the list. For the trdelnik i need to find one without cinnamon, since i am allergic to cinnamon.

Nice picks with the hike and the cruise. For trdelník, ask for it plain or with just sugar and say “bez skořice, prosím.” Many stands can do vanilla sugar, chocolate, nuts, or ice cream instead. Also ask them to use a clean brush or a fresh roll so you avoid any cinnamon dust.

There are about five Hive users living in Prague. It is undoubtedly a beautiful city. Judging by your photos, you visited the most popular and well-known sights. Of course, there are others.

Trdelník is not a traditional Czech food; it came to us from Transylvania via Hungary (kürtőskalács) and Austria (Prügelkrapfen, Baumstriezel, Baumkuchen ...).

OK, my Initial thought was that the Baum Striezels are from Bohemia. I didnt think IT was the other way round.
