Some more pictures of Kestrels
Kestrels are probably the most common birds of prey here in Austria and I already managed to get several pictures of these birds. They are really beautiful and since they are often focused on looking for prey it is easy to get close to them. These birds are often sitting on a high spot in the trees or on houses, on old castles.

Looks very similar to our kestrels here in South Africa, that I have posted a few times before. You shared some lovely shots of this little go getter.

Thank you, i dont know how migratory they are but i heard some of the Falcon Family fly really long distances, so they could actzually BE the Same birds.
Maybe, and incidentally I got a Rock Kestrel in a high tree today.

Nice!
I've never seen a Kestrel nest! Great photos!
Thank you, I don't know if they used an old nest from another bird in this case. most of the time they use old buildings and old walls with holes where they can build their nests. In this Case I assume they reused another birds nest for their own.
