Redshank in the shallow water and on the "beach"
As you might already know I prefer taking picturs of birds at shores near lakes and rivers since there it is much easier to find these birds that are busy with looking for small insects and don't care so much about humans and other intrusions, and when they have a promising spot where they can find a lot of food they usually stay there for a longer time. A good strategy is alway if you lay down on the ground and wait for some time so the birds can learn that you are not really a threat to them and start trusting you. And I have to admit that during mating time in spring and in summer it is usually a little easier to get close to them. Now in Autumn it is a lot more difficult.

I really need to travel a little bit more and not only visit spots in Austria for photography. I hope I can visit the Laguna of Venice or Hungary maybe next year for some bird photography, these 2 spots are still on my bucket list of places to visit that are not that far away like Africa or Costa Rica. Time, Money and possible Covid restrictions are still the problem. :-( But I keep on dreaming.
