Night and blue hour photography in Linz

From time to time I like to take some longtime exposure shots fo night scenes and since I live in Linz this is probably the city where I have the most pictures of. Even though I haven't done it in a while I think next summer I will spend again some time doing some photography during the blue hour since the pictures always turn out so great.

There are several nice spots in Linz that are enlighted during the night and I tried to get some nice pictures from these spots. Probably one of the best views you can find is when visiting the Pöstlingberg that is situated in the north of Linz, this is the spot where I took the first two pictures here. During summer time the blue hour is longer and later in the evening that's why I use this time of the year to take some picture at this time. In winter it is usually so early and short that it is very difficult to be at the desired spot at the corect time. I like taking pictures of views from above as wall as detailed pictures of buildings at night. But also bridges and structures are great and interesting.

Most of these pictures were done with my old Camera and I plan to recreate some of these pictures with my new one next year. I hope I find some time to do so and also I hope that I get some nice evenings that make this possible. Since nice blue hour pictures can only be done with great weather conditions. I will also need to see what kind of pictures I will be making when this friend from vienna will be here in Linz next year. I am already looking forward to creating some really nice macro pictures of flowers and insects.
