Looking forward to next spring

Summer is slowly reaching its end and autumn will be here soon. I hope we will have a nice autumn this year and I am looking forward to some nice days at the vinyards in lower Austria were I hope to get some nice fermented grape juice. I love autumn and the time in the year when it is not so hot anymore, but still this summer was too short as always. But spring is also one of the best times of the year because everything wakes up after a long winter and I get very excited about what the new year has to offer. And the colors also return and seeing so many nice colors of nature after a long winter with only grey and white is also something very nice.

Those vineyard days in Lower Austria sound perfect; that first pour of Sturm with a cool breeze is hard to beat. I love how autumn takes the heat down and makes long walks feel easy again. Do you have a favorite heuriger or grape there? I tell myself it’s for the antioxidants, but the view does most of the magic.
