Little Ringed Plovers

The Little Ringed Plovers are one of my favorite birds here in Austria and I am already looking forwardg when they return from their wintering destination Afrika.

I really enjoy watching these birds when they are looking for small insects in the mudd or inbetween small gravel pieces. It is such a relaxing thing to do. Wathing them, taking some pictures and relaxing on the mat in the sun. 😂

The Little ringed plover has a very good camouflage color when hiding in between the gravel and the sand of the sandpit. Together with the green plants it is possible to get some really nice bokeh. Also the brown colors of the ground covering plants makes a great contrast to the bird.

Such a lovely and cute little bird. Why does she always look up and stare the environment? Against possible predators?
