Lake Ottenstein water Reservoir

The water reservoir of Lake ottenstein in Lower Austria is a nice spot for swimming and driving around with paddle boats. Since it is a quite big Lake in Lower Austria I decided to visit it and look for some birds there. But in early June there were already a lot of people bathing and driving around with paddleboats. So for me it is clear that I will only visit it for birdphotography off swimming season, so not during summer but in early spring and autumn when it is too cold for the people to swim there. When I was there in June 2021 it was crowded with people and even finding a parking spot was not so easy. I didn't bring any swimsuit with me only my camera since my original plan was to take some pictures of birds.

I discarded the idea of bird photography at this water reservoir at least during summer time. But since it is a quite large area with a lot of different terrain it might be interesting for bird photography in early spring when it is still too cold for swimming. Maybe this spring I can give it another try.
