Hamster Photography at the Cementary
In the early evening hours when the hamsters start their increased activity it is the best time to take some pictures of these nice creatures. At the cemetery they are used to humans and getting closer to them is easier as elsewhere. This is why Stefan, Patrick and I like to visit cemeteries for urban wildlife photography.
In Vienna I like to take pictures of birds, squirrels, ground squirrels and hamsters. Usually when we visit vienna the hamsters are the last spot that we visit since their most active time is just before sunset and at sunset. Thats why I usually only have limited time to take some pictures of these wonderfull animals. They are so cute to watch and in the evining time when they come out of their underground holes there is a lot of activity at the cementary. They often feed on the fatty parts of the candles on the flower and seeds that they can find there and their population grew quite a bit since on the cementary they get a lot of candlewax.

So cute and adorable hamsters 😍 It's clever to note their comfort with humans there. The detail about them eating candle wax is quite unique! ✨
They like the easy sourc of fat from the candle wax
