Capricon in the mountains
Some years ago I was lucky to take some pictures of Capricorns at the Grossglockner in Austria, they came really close even though there were a lot of people around. But they probably know that this area were they searched for some fresh grass entry is prohibited for people. But still I was amazed how close they came to the hiking path were a lot of people were hiking and watching the Capricorns. Also some marmottes and birds could be found up there. Since you can drive on the Grossglockner Hochalpenstraße with your car it is one of the easier spots where you can find wildlife like these capricorns.
I have to admit that the Capricorns were the highlight for this day but also some marmottes and birds caught my attention. I am definitely going to visit this place again in the near future.
Capricorn came very close to the hiking path. Picture: Florian Glechner.

Omg I love those shots Florian, very beautiful.... That kind of closeness to wildlife is something you don’t forget easily. It’s wild how some animals seem to understand boundaries better than people sometimes.... like they just know where they’re safe. I’ve never caught glimpses of marmots in the distance, so having Capricorns walk that close must’ve felt surreal. Definitely makes you want to go back, not just for the view but for that quiet connection with nature that doesn’t happen every day.
The luck is that they are User to humans Up there thats why they get so Close.
Omg! These are the horns! Huge!
Yes.
