Beauty of the Mandarin duck
The Mandarin Duck is one of the most colorful ducks here in Austria, and there are only a few of them living here. They were originally brought over to Austria from Japan and East Asia, and now there is a smaller population of these ducks living in Vienna. You can find these parks on some of the parks that are in Vienna and since they are used to humans you can even get very close to them. On one of my many trips to vienna I could take several pictures of this duck species wich is one of the more beautiful ducks, at least I think so.
Here I have some pictures of the beautiful Male Mandarin Duck. The female has not so much colors and is looking similar to the common ducks here in Austria.

That is truly a very beautiful duck! I have never seen one outside of a bird sanctuary, or zoo.
I've noticed that a lot of very beautiful birds are not as beautiful in their female versions. The Mandarin duck exudes a lot of elegance, flair and of course beauty. Absolutely unique colours.🌺
