Beautiful old trees at the Nature reserve
Old trees are an important habitat for beetles and other insects but in modern forests trees are cut down when they get too old or ill. In Nature reserves trees cannot be cut down so easily and therefore you can find there a lot of dead old wood and trees. They are an important habitat for a lot of insects and birds feed on them. It is important that there are forests that can still pursue their natural way of live and die and grow new slowly. When a tree dies a lot of insects and other plants benefit from the nutrients it releases. When I visited Hungary with Stefan I found this beautiful old tree stop at a nature reserve there.

Not only dead trees but also old trees have a special magical attraction too mee and they are beautiful on their own. When I take a walk through the forest near my home I often only see living trees that are in good shape and older trees are cut down. At a nature reserve these old trees stay there in the forest and are not used in a different way, only if they have illnesses and are a thread to other trees around then they are withdrawn from there. Walking through a forest and seeing old trees like this makes me happy especially during a nice warm day like this. The shadow that they trees produced was great for staying there even it was in the middle of the summer. But in the late afternoon and early evening the mosquitos started to be annoying so we headded back to our accomodation.

Nice but difficult area for bird photography because they can hide so easy.
