Aurora Borealis in Upper Austria

Saturday night I went out for taking some pictures of the Aurora Borealis here in Upper Austria. Since I was on Standby duty this week I had to stay near Linz to be able to drive to a customer location if any onsite visit would be neededd. I decided to drive to the Giselawarte (GIS) noth of Linz to try my Luck. And I was lucky that at least the Aurora Borealis was visible a little bit. I was able to take some pictures with at least a little bit of violet in it. There were a lot of people watching it up there and also some other photographers.

What I didn't like, there were also a lot of people with torches 😡. They ruined a lot of my pictures since the Torch light is so bright on a longtime exposure picture that whenever someone shone with his torchlight near my camera the picture was damaged. Luckily I could convince some of these people to turn of the torch but still a lot of my pictures got damaged through too harsh torch light. And I don't know why they needed it anyway, it was not that dark that you couldn't see anything.

But still under these circumstances I am pretty happy with the results.

Ja, schon leider war es nicht der optimale Platz dafür. Aufgrund meines Bereitschaftsdienstes konnte ich mich nur in einem gewissen Radius nach einem geeigneten Platz bewegen.

Even despite the people with torches, the photos turned out to be simply amazing and impressive my friend! 👍
