A visit to the ruins of Prandegg (Upper Austria)
Last Weekend I made a trip to the ruins of Prandegg in Upper Austria, it is built on a hill and dated back to the 12 th / 13 th Century. It is a nice walk through the forrest and the hill to get there and I initially visited this place to find the Red crossbill that could be found there, but unfortunately we were unlucky and only could find some falcons and other birds. I am sure in have to visit this place again for the red crossbills and hopefully next time I am a bit more lucky. Since they like the salt of the Stones there on the hill there should be some of them around but you need some luck to find them and I am positive that if I visit this place several times, one time I will find them for some pictures.
The only birds that I found there last weekend were

- Coal tits
- Yellow Hammer
- Chaffinch
- Robin
- Chiffchaff
- Blackbird

These are very old ruins. You are lucky to have a chance to visit such a beautiful place. In this post you have given the explanation of Khadra very beautifully.

Wow! Such antiquity! As a teenager, I was fond of industrial tourism, I liked to find abandoned factories, ruins, etc. And I remember well these exciting sensations of being in them. But here it’s completely different, what an antiquity, it’s just great!
