Plaza Almirante Luis Felipe Brión en Juan Griego-Isla de Margarita [ESP-ENG]

Hola amigos @hivermagarita cómo estan pasando sus días? Por este lado estamos bien, de vacaciones haciendo un montón de diligencias pendientes y también descansando lo más que puedo.

Está semana me tocó visitar a la ciudad de Juan Griego ya que mi hija Gaby tenía un ensayo especial por sus clases de lirico. Entonces mientras ella bailaba yo me fui a la bahía de Juan Griego y me dispuse a caminar, llegué a la Plaza Almirante Luis Felipe Brión. Aunque es parte de la plaza principal de la ciudad, este espacio tiene su propia identidad y es única, te conecta de inmediato con la esencia de margarita. Una placa en el lugar recuerda su restauración el 29 de junio de 2021 y da gusto ver lo bonita y cuidada que se mantiene.

Lo mejor de esta plaza es su ubicación. Estar allí es disfrutar de un fondo espectacular, el mar Caribe en todo su esplendor. A pesar de que el sol brillaba con fuerza durante mi visita, la sombra de sus árboles y la gran cantidad de banquitos hacen que el clima se sienta perfecto para sentarse a contemplar el paisaje.

Mientras descansas, puedes ver los botes y lanchas de pesca flotando cerca de la orilla y observar a los pelícanos que adornan el cielo. Me gustó ver a tantos niños bañándose en la playa, riéndose a carcajadas y disfrutando del agua con esa espontaneidad tan nuestra.

Además, se nota que el lugar se está llenando de vida comercial. Hay varios locales pequeños que se están activando; aunque parecen pensados para la vida nocturna. Si buscas un sitio simple, natural y lleno de paz para reconectar con la isla, la Plaza Brión en el municipio Marcano en la Isla de Margarita,es una parada obligatoria.

Hi, friends @hivermagarita, how’s your day-to-day going? We’re doing well here—on vacation, catching up on a bunch of pending tasks, and also resting as much as I can.

This week I got to visit the town of Juan Griego, since my daughter Gaby had a special rehearsal for her classical dance classes. So, while she was dancing, I headed to Juan Griego Bay and went for a walk; I ended up at Plaza Almirante Luis Felipe Brión. Although it’s part of the city’s main square, this space has its own identity and is unique; it immediately connects you with the essence of Margarita. A plaque on the site commemorates its restoration on June 29, 2021, and it’s a pleasure to see how beautiful and well-maintained it remains.

The best thing about this square is its location. Being there means enjoying a spectacular backdrop: the Caribbean Sea in all its splendor. Although the sun was shining brightly during my visit, the shade from the trees and the many benches make the weather feel perfect for sitting down and taking in the scenery.

While you relax, you can watch the fishing boats and motorboats bobbing near the shore and observe the pelicans soaring through the sky. I loved seeing so many children swimming at the beach, laughing heartily, and enjoying the water with that spontaneity so characteristic of us.Plus, you can tell the area is coming alive with commercial activity. There are several small businesses opening up, though they seem geared toward nightlife. If you’re looking for a simple, natural, and peaceful place to reconnect with the island, Plaza Brión in the municipality of Marcano on Margarita Island is a must-see.
