The pond, the great unknown of the garden

Having a pond near the garden is something fundamental that most people are unaware of. Ponds generate a life around them that is very beneficial for our plants. It gives the garden a balance that would otherwise be difficult to achieve.

Its main virtue is to attract insects to the garden and to be a refuge for amphibians. People tend to fear that the pond will be filled with mosquitoes, but that will not happen if we create the right conditions for our frogs to feel comfortable. They will take care of the larvae, creating a perfect balance. On the other hand, we will attract a large population of dragonflies, which are great predators that will greatly benefit our garden.
A water source will always attract many animals that we can observe, especially in summer, and it will be an obligatory stop for a lot of birds. Especially insects that will help us fight pests.

In addition, having a pond in the garden to which we can add a fountain that keeps things moving will always provide us with a place of calm and relaxation that is difficult to match.

Thank you very much for supporting my blog and I look forward to your comments.!

They are nice to have, as long as you can keep those mosquitos down. I know people who keep Koi in their ponds for that reason to eat up all the insects!
