Preparing for Christmas as a family.
Every year around this time, it's time to start preparing for Christmas, and it's not an easy task. I still remember when I was just a little girl and my mother worried about everything while I simply enjoyed myself. But those days are gone, so now it's my turn to do it. If there's one thing I learned from my mother when she did it, it's that you have to have everything planned. And that starts with the food. I've already bought most of the things, including the kid goat and the capon. It's much cheaper that way, and you don't have to worry about running out. I like to buy the fish more at the last minute since I'm not so traditional and I'm more flexible. If something isn't available, I can always substitute it.

As I was saying, it's quite hard work getting everything ready, so I've delegated some tasks, and I have the children preparing the decorations. They have to take them out of the boxes, clean them, and put them where they'll go. My son is in charge of the tree and also the presents. He's going to be a master of wrapping and writing the personalized messages. I hope it's cold; that, besides creating a more welcoming atmosphere, will prevent my guests from destroying the garden.
