Privacy currencies are always linked to crime and money laundering, but nothing could be further from the truth. In his day and even today there are people who link BTC with that same thing as if they had not seen crime and money laundering before BTC.

The truth is that the currency most used to launder money is USD, but these things were already done before fiat money existed. Yes, although it may seem like a contradiction, money was laundered before money existed.
Crime is not going to disappear. As long as there are humans on earth someone will always want to take advantage.
