Hello hivian friends. I am the proud mother of two wonderful children although I call them my two little hooligans. And like all children, perhaps mine a little more, they give us a lot of trouble and make us lose our temper on many occasions.
I was a difficult daughter for my parents, I admit it, and together with my brothers we drove my mother crazy. So now when I complain about how naughty my children are, you can imagine what they say to me and how much my mother laughs at me.
Raising two small children is not easy. You are always looking out for them so that nothing happens to them so that they don't get into trouble. But the most difficult thing is to combine love with the discipline that you must impose. You are their mother, you love them, you don't want them to hate you for prohibiting them from doing things or forcing them to do others, but you have to do it.
I have to admit that it was difficult for me to adapt to the situation but the key for me has been to cultivate patience. My recipe is quite simple to treat them with both affection and firmness. Forms are essential but not falling into emotional blackmail is also essential.
Being flexible with children does not work; you must be firm but with very soft shapes. Use intelligence to do what you want. Be a little Machiavelli.
