3 books about the sea to give to children this Christmas.

Hello Hivians. How is your week going? The weekend of celebrations is approaching and today I wanted to help a little to those who have not bought a gift for the children and are still wondering what to give.

As I am a lover of the sea and reading, I have chosen this as a gift. I have a friend who has two children, ages 7 and 9. She wanted to give them a book to keep them entertained this holiday season and I've been looking. These are my three picks and I wanted to share them with all of you.

My first choice "The Mermaid and the Dolphin" by author Julia Donaldson, which tells the story of friendship between a mermaid and a dolphin. It is a very fun book full of magnificent illustrations that will teach children to appreciate marine life.

The second choice "Finding Nemo" is a classic based on the Pixar movie where our favorite clownfish "Nemo" will live adventures with his father sailing the oceans. As always, adventures and fun will be present.

And finally "Where is the whale?" by the author Ingela Arrhenius who has created a very special interactive book in which children will go on a treasure hunt. While doing so, they will discover marine fauna and learn many more things about the sea.

I think they sell all three on Amazon or other similar bookstores.

Anything by Julia Donaldson has got to be good. I don't know The Mermaid and the Dolphin but I can remember reading several of her books with our sons when they were younger.
