Oi + Kino Don, A Place With Two Different Name And 5 Different Room In One

Hello my dear friends…
Only now that i can come back in this community after dealing with Ramadhan and Eid. The first day after coming back to the city where me and my husband live for now, we just didnt have any energy to cook. So, we went around looking for a place to eat. The place that we decided to eat in is shockingly cute so i just cant resist to take some picture to share about it in this community.

This place have two names, which is Oi and Kino Don. It was so weird that i have found some other places with this type of “different names” concept in other place here in this city. It makes me wonder, why though? Why they didnt put or choose just one name? This is not a foodcourt, this place is just like any other coffee shop or cafe we can found around. Even their menu is just one. I think that the Oi is for the coffee shop and they sell bakery and drinks while the Kino Don is where they sell the japanese rice bowl. They might have different owner but i still think its weird. The reason why i share about this will be related to the design that they have in this place, they really put this “different yet the same” theme through the whole place.

This is gonna be the first section of the space in the cafe. Its a semi outdoor place, the place we will see first when we visited this place. On the left side, there’s a green wall made of a lot of plants. I think that its very pretty that they have this. This city is very hot especially in the day time so having a wall made of plants is way much better and cooling rather than a semi outdoor place with wall made of bricks. From the front, we can see that they have one consistent color that they seem to like because its kinda everywhere but not really in our face. Its the color of baby blue. I like the color because it reminds me of water, maybe pool or maybe beach, i think its closer to pool rather than beach. Well, its still refreshing to look at along with their green wall.

They have two different access to get inside, one is from the front and the other is from the left side, near the green wall, and here is what the room looks like. In this room, they put more Indonesian’s 80 - 90 vibe with the combination of polished wooden chair and rattan chair. What makes the design looks more old vibe were the opened window. This totally looks like some restaurant in the 80s and 90s. Its been so long since the last time i saw rattan chair, maybe since my grandma sold her house, so its a bit nostalig to look at. As we can see that they also put some white tiles in the wall, i think it adds more to the vintage vibe. Its a perfect place to take a cute picture with your loved ones.

This is the first room with air conditioner in this cafe. We can access this room from both of the space i share before. In this place, they have a totally different vibe. I like that they maximize the space with putting table and single chairs near the window. I must say that this is the perfect place to work when i come here alone. When i bored from doing work, i can just look at the windor and see the street for few seconds before start focusing again. Maybe the little minus from this area is its too close from the counter so you might always hear people walking or talking behind you, its kinda take the serene away. I also think that its cute they put the polaroids of their workers in the wall.

This is their fourth room and the room where i decided to sit in, because its the coldest one. This room full pf white wall around is so pretty especially because they put a lot pf ornament in their wall. I dont know if they use a designer to design this whole place or the owner is just that creative. I think that they know everything that each room needs and they cater. They didnt overdo anything and just put the right amount each. The chair and table in this room is all so random and different, which i also love. Actually, there’s this one big sofa with table in front of the door but since there’re a couple sitting there, i cant take picture of it. Its a perfect size for two people and i would love to sit there when i just want to hang out with my husband while watching some Netflix in our tablet.

This is the fifth and last room in this cafe. This is also the biggest room, perfect for small gathering because its quite private. For the chairs and table, this room has even more random tables and chairs compared to the room before. There is one big difference in the term of table and chairs in this room compared to others, its that they all use smaller chair. I dont know why and it actually makes me curious why the owner didnt just use the same chairs in this room. The combination is also pretty good, light blue/green, bright dark blue, and pink.
