Sentimientos y pensamientos encontrados en Navidad
La navidad es de esas fechas del año que no me alegra mucho su llegada, con esto no digo que no me guste la navidad, nada más lejos de la verdad. Pero, por lo general los humanos a veces parecemos una especie de rebaño sin pastor y en esta época del año se presta perfectamente para la manipulación de las masas, y aunque esto es un asunto que merece mucho la pena explayar ya lo haré más adelante.
En esta época me parece loable la postura del grinch, ya que se fija como aquel que no va con la corriente y propone mirar las cosas desde otro punto de vista. Lo que rescato de la navidad es el encuentro, eso de recobrar valores tales como la esperanza. De hecho, la misma palabra navidad evoca el nacimiento, nacimiento que podemos tomar como metáfora y trasladarlo a nuestras vidas y preguntarnos ¿Qué debería renacer?
Desde un punto de vista teológico la navidad es la celebración del misterio de la encarnación, misterio que filosóficamente siempre me ha causado intriga porque humanamente hablando, no solo solo cuerpo, o solo espíritu, me gusta pensar que somos “un espíritu encarnado” pero de eso les hablaré en otra oportunidad.

Mixed feelings and thoughts at Christmas time
Christmas is one of those times of the year that I am not very happy about its arrival, with this I am not saying that I don't like Christmas, nothing further from the truth. But, in general we humans sometimes seem like a kind of flock without a shepherd and this time of year lends itself perfectly to the manipulation of the masses, and although this is a subject that is well worth explaining, I will do so later.
At this time of year I find the grinch's stance commendable, as it is set as one who does not go with the flow and proposes to look at things from another point of view. What I rescue from Christmas is the encounter, that of recovering values such as hope. In fact, the very word Christmas evokes the birth, a birth that we can take as a metaphor and transfer it to our lives and ask ourselves what should be reborn?
From a theological point of view Christmas is the celebration of the mystery of the incarnation, a mystery that philosophically has always intrigued me because humanly speaking, not only body, or only spirit, I like to think that we are "an incarnated spirit" but I will talk about that another time.

My favourite thing about Christmas is spending time with loved ones.
Day to day life is busy and it is easy for days to turn into weeks and weeks into months. Before we know it another year is gone.
Christmas is one of those events that we make extra effort to spend time together.
I have lost friends and family over the years and definitely get the whole mixed feelings thing as we all miss loved ones that are no longer with us. But I can not change that and choose to enjoy Christmas with those that are still with us and remember those that are not. Keeping them in my heart .
