World Photography Contest • ROUND 27 • Coco trees

Hello Photography Friends,

Welcome to this contest, hosted by @marc-allaria. This week the theme is Coco trees of the world. I expect to see a lot of pictures from coco trees at the beach, shots from a low angle, ... You know what I mean. Those who know me a bit better they know I want to be different. So I decided to take a very unusual picture for this theme.

I took this picture in my garden when I lived in the Philippines. I was strolling and on the hunt to take some pictures of insects and flowers I found this. Suddenly I saw these coconuts lying under a tree. They already sprouted and have a tiny leaf. This was the birth of a new palm tree! I took one of the coco nuts and put it next to my door and indeed, week after week I could see the plant growing.

And of course I will add a picture of a coco tree as well 😉
