My start in the fantastic world of Succulents and Cacti [ENG/ESP].

Hello hello friends of Hive Garden may God's blessing be with us always, it is a pleasure for me to share with you everything I have in my little garden, this is the first publication of many that I hope to do in this community, since I learned of its existence and I started to see the publications I was hooked by the beautiful photos, great experiences and various knowledge shared by its protagonists. In this opportunity I am going to review my beginnings in the addictive world of cacti and succulents, I say addictive because when you have one you want more and more, no matter how many you have they are never enough, so much so that I am currently part of a group in a social network where almost every day we share tips, experiences and photos of our plants. Without further ado, I welcome those who are not yet immersed in the world of succulents and cacti, and for those who are, I share my little experience. Here we go.

Hola hola amigos de Hive Garden que la bendición de Dios nos acompañe siempre, es un placer para mí compartir con ustedes todo lo que tengo en mi pequeño jardín, está es la primera publicación de muchas que espero poder hacer en esta comunidad, desde que supe de su existencia y empecé a ver las publicaciones quedé enganchada por las hermosas fotos, grandes experiencias y diversos conocimientos compartidos por sus protagonistas. En esta oportunidad les voy a reseñar mis inicios en el adictivo mundo de los cactus y las suculentas, digo adictivo porque cuando tienes una quieres más y más, por más que tengas nunca son suficientes, es tanto así que actualmente soy parte de un grupo en una red social donde casi todos los días compartimos tips, experiencias y fotos de nuestras plantas. Sin más preámbulo les doy la bienvenida a las que aún no están sumergidas en el mundo de las suculentas y cactus, y a las que sí están les comparto mi pequeña experiencia. Aquí vamos!.

I started in this fantastic world at the "beginning of 2018" being influenced by my older sister who is living in Lebanon, she was the one who planted in me the love for plants. My first plants were given to me by my friend Lilibeth, a Paraguayense and Princess Necklace (the ones that started this story), at the beginning, like most of the cases of friends I know, it was not easy, because I did not know the care and climatic conditions to which I had to have my plants for their cultivation and some of them died, feelings can discourage you, but keep in mind that every step can cause a fall and it depends on you to stay in the place where you fell or get up and keep moving forward.

Me inicié en este fantástico mundo a "principios del 2018" viéndome influenciada por mi hermana mayor que se encuentra residenciada en el Líbano, ella fue la que sembró en mí el amor por las plantas. Mis primeras plantas me las regaló mi amiga Lilibeth, una Paraguayense y un Collar de Princesa (las que dieron inicio a esta historia), al principio, como la mayoría de los casos de amigas que conozco, no fue fácil, pues, no sabía de los cuidados y las condiciones climáticas a las cuales debía tener mis plantas para su cultivo y algunas de ellas fueron muriendo, los sentimientos pueden desanimarte, pero, ten presente que cada paso puede ocasionar una caída y que de ti depende quedarte en el lugar donde caíste o levantarte y seguir avanzando.

Once I got the basic knowledge of their maintenance and care, what created in me was an unquenchable thirst for having more and more species, I compare it to an album of collectible figurines; you want to buy and buy envelopes of figurines to fill it.

From the beginning, the idea was to reproduce and sell to buy species that I didn't have, however as I got deeper I saw the possibility of exchange as something more feasible (sometimes I sell some to buy black soil or pots), but I confess it is difficult to get rid of one of them, it is like giving a daughter.

Una vez que obtuve el conocimiento básico de su mantenimiento y cuidado, lo que creó en mí fue una sed insaciable por tener más y más especies, lo comparo con un álbum de figuritas coleccionables, quieres comprar y comprar sobres de figuritas para llenarlo.

Desde el comienzo, la idea fue reproducir y vender para ir comprando especies que no tenía, sin embargo a medida que me fui adentrando vi la posibilidad del intercambio como algo más factible (en ocasiones vendo algunas para comprar tierra negra o macetas), pero les confieso es difícil desprenderse de una de ellas, es como entregar una hija.

These are the first succulents I grew, it is worth mentioning that they were a gift from my friend Lilibeth. It is exciting to remember the genesis of this adventure and to observe what I have advanced until today, obviating the difficult but immensely necessary processes (the constant care of the plants, overcoming the emotions for which they did not survive), filling me with knowledge and all the responsibility that comes with this lifestyle that keeps me busy, animated and entertained, it is very gratifying and satisfactory the result obtained, the emotion of seeing these beautiful plants grow and stand out in my small garden has no comparison.

Estas son las primeras suculentas que cultivé, cabe resaltar que fueron un obsequio de mi amiga Lilibet. Es emocionante recordar el génesis de esta aventura y observar lo que he avanzado hasta hoy, obviando los procesos difíciles pero inmensamente necesarios (el cuidado constante de las plantas, superar las emociones por las que no sobrevivieron), llenarme de conocimiento y toda la responsabilidad que conlleva este estilo de vida que me mantiene ocupada, animada y entretenida, es muy gratificante y satisfactorio el resultado obtenido, la emoción de ver estas hermosas plantas crecer y resaltar en mi pequeño jardín no tiene comparación.

I present my first cacti, they don’t need such an exhaustive care as the succulents to survive and reproduce but constant preventive maintenance is necessary to avoid the proliferation of fungi, and the most important thing is the sun, that is their best friend. Some of them in their growth present beautiful flowers of different colors, these make me feel like a proud mother, as I mentioned before the results make it worth the effort and time invested.

Not mention the feeling when I get the succulent or cacti that I was looking for so long, or that I just saw it and said I want that one and finally I get it. It is more than a hobby; it is a passion that I will continue to share with all of you.

Les presento mis primeros cactus, ellos no necesitan un cuidado tan exhaustivo como las suculentas para sobrevivir y reproducirse pero si es necesario el mantenimiento preventivo constante para evitar la proliferación de hongos, y lo más importante el sol que es su mejor amigo. Alguno de ellos en su crecimiento presentan hermosas flores de distintos colores, estas hacen que me sienta una mamá orgullosa, como les mencioné anteriormente los resultados hacen que valga la pena el esfuerzo y tiempo invertido.

Sin mencionar la sensación cuando consigo la suculenta o cactus que estaba buscando por tanto tiempo, o que simplemente lo vi y dije yo quiero ese y al final lo obtengo. Es más que un pasatiempo es una pasión que seguiré compartiendo con todos ustedes.
