Transformation in Nature

You walk to your deer stand in the predawn dim of silhouettes,
your crunchy steps in the otherwise quiet landscape.

Up each rung, the scene broadens.
And once perched, it begins to brighten.

I would later sit here in the evening as well,
watching sunrise, sunset, and dusk.

We busy people sometimes complain "there's nothing to do." We might especially voice this concern when in rural areas with less action than a city. But look at all that happens in just one scene in nature—all within a single day.

For my next post, we'll go from a daily transformation of nature to a yearly transformation of an individual...
