PhotoFeed Contest - Macro Photography Round 141: Flies

In this round 141 of the PhotoFeed: Macro Photography contest, I would like to participate by submitting a photo of a fly perched on a leaf. This photo was taken in the courtyard of a mosque in Pasar Baru, Bandung.

Using a cellphone camera with a built-in macro lens, I was able to see the details of the fly's body. From its dark bluish-green body and wings, to its tiny, fine hairs and tiny spines on its legs. But what's most striking is the shape of its head and face, which are red with tiny lines. The world of macro allows us to see things that are otherwise invisible.
