A Peaceful Weekend at Quetta’s Gem — Hanna Lake Adventure

Hello friends, how are you all? I hope everyone is fine, I’m also fine. So almost every weekend I go for an outing with my family, and this weekend we went to Hanna Lake. We especially go there for boating because I really love boating, and whenever I go there, I definitely do boating. It’s about 15 kilometers away from our home, but when we leave home, we don’t even feel that it’s 15 kilometers away it feels like we reach there in just 2 minutes because, of course, we have so much fun in the car that we don’t even realize the distance.

So this time when we went, on the way we bought pizza and donuts for eating these two are my favorite things. Besides that, we also took cold drinks, juice, Lays, cake, etc., because honestly, it’s a lot of fun to enjoy the lake while eating, and just by looking at water a person feels very calm especially I feel very calm. So we took all our food items and left for Hanna Lake, which is the heart of Quetta city.

As soon as we reached, first we looked for a good spot to sit and eat because seeing the hot pizza made all of us hungry. So we sat near the lake and finished all our food nicely, but yes, some food was left, so we packed it again and kept it in the car so we could eat it later at home because food should not be wasted.

After eating and drinking, we went to take some rides because for me, that’s a must. Whenever I go to any place where there are swings like parks I definitely sit on them because I have loved swings since childhood, and whenever I see them, I can’t stop myself. That’s why today too I took many rides and had a lot of fun. But after taking the rides, I felt a little dizzy because I had eaten so much earlier, and when I sat on the rides, I felt a bit unwell. But after walking here and there for a while, I felt fine again.

Now comes the main and most fun part which is boating. When we reached the boating area, there were two types of boats: one pedal boat and one engine boat. We chose the engine boat because it’s more fun. For safety, they first made us wear life jackets so that if any accident happened, we wouldn’t get hurt. The boat had space for six people to sit, and they were charging 1500 PKR for one round, but I felt that was a bit expensive for such a short distance because their one round was very short.

They only took us to the hut-like place in the middle of the lake and then back again. For me, it was a very short round but still, it was a lot of fun.

I came here after almost one year, and when I looked at the lake, I saw that the water level had gone down a lot because this year there was very little rain. That’s why the lake’s water has decreased, but maybe after winter the water will rise again. However, if there isn’t much rain even in winter, then the water may decrease even more which is not a good sign. Every year, the water here is reducing, and I’m afraid that in a few years this lake might dry up.

Anyway, we had a lot of fun today boating, rides, snacks everything was great and very enjoyable. I think everyone should go for an outing every weekend because doing daily work makes a person tired, and one day like this is needed so that the brain can relax. Outing really relaxes the mind, makes it fresh, which is really good.
