Monomad Challenge: Looking for the Young Crescent Moon

Hey everyone, how are you today, I'm back with some black and white visuals you might like, and here's my entry for the #Monomad challenge. This time I'm back with some visuals that I made when several astronomy students were watching the rising of the young crescent moon to determine the start of the month of Ramadan, this is an annual activity that I often photograph, because every year when the month of Ramadan approaches, astronomy officers and students always carry out this activity to determine the start of Ramadan. They used a very large telescope to see the young moon as the sun set on the western horizon. You can see how enthusiastic they are in carrying out this big task because later the monitoring results will be sent to the central government, to determine the start of Ramadan in Indonesia. This monitoring is not only carried out in my city but in several locations throughout Indonesia. They carry out monitoring to determine the start of the month of Ramadan.
