An Amazing Mural in Downtown Stratford
I thought I would take a moment to capture and share this great piece of public art located in my city on the side of the Sutton Group building in downtown Stratford, Ontario.

The piece was created by mural artist Bareket Kezwer in 2021 as part of the "My Main Street Community Activator" initiative. It’s more than just a pretty wall, it is designed as a bold visual statement weaving together Stratford’s natural beauty and cultural identity.
This public piece of art contains images of:
-Local pollinator plants and tulips
-A family of swans on the Avon River
-A subtle nod to Stratford’s famed theatrical heritage
The mural celebrates Stratford’s connection to nature, art, and history, while brightening up the downtown core for drivers and pedestrians alike.

I enjoy how the mural feels pixelated up close, and when you step back, the full image comes alive. It captures Stratford’s unique identity—flowers, swans, and theatre—while also being modern and eye-catching. It’s the kind of piece that makes you stop, look, and appreciate where you live. Watching the artist slowly create this piece of art over many days was something else!

I'm sure I could get a grant to make this into a 100 ft mural. And call it "Inuit daydreams"
