Waning crescent

In my photographic experience, I have taken many shots of moonrises and moonsets in various phases, and I know enough about this to make a good shot. But describing the shooting process and the results becomes more difficult each time.

This time, the crescent was behind the clouds, and it was only after two o'clock in the morning that a window appeared, through which a sickle appeared.

I've been looking for the domes and crosses of the Sretensky Church to photograph the moon for a long time.

At this point, the moon is usually in the crescent phase, more often waning.

With such close-ups, a teleconverter was necessary.

I could have worked with other objects of a similar plan, but the moon appeared for only a couple of dozen minutes and disappeared behind dense clouds again.

But in this short time, I still managed to make a couple of decent pictures.
