Porokhovo

Porokhovo is a village in the Ust-Kubinsky district of the Vologda region. The regional center is 71 km away. The Kiht River flows through the village, which after three kilometers flows into the Kubena.

I've always been attracted to places like this, where there's a river and a church. So these places are old, and the layout of the streets will be chaotic.

I also went here to get dugouts, but I found only one small cluster of vegetable storages.

It was an interesting place, but it was kind of gloomy. Maybe it's because it snowed and it got colder, which reminded me of the end of November.

Lake Ivakinskoye is also located near Porokhov, but there was ice there...I didn't even take pictures. It would just be a snow-covered field.

It's cozy, roughly speaking, only near the river. In other places, Porokhovo looks like an ordinary logging village with semi-detached block barracks.

It's very quiet, just kind of dead...

This place reminded me of the village beyond Chekshino, where there was only one lamp burning in the whole neighborhood and there was not a single sound.

I had no luck with the dugouts, but I did identify one feature.

These are triangular roofs-houses above wells.

I did come across a couple of buried cellars with a gable roof.

I would like to see such rivers at the end of summer, when they expose all the stones.

Well, it looks like November!

Even dogs don't bark.

On the other shore there is an almost new dugout in the city alone.

And the church is located in the village of Filisov, which is adjacent to Porokhovo.

It was a little gloomy...
