Ice drift on Vologda river in Molochnoye

When I arrived and went to the suspension bridge, the ice was standing. But as soon as I managed to take a picture, the whole mass smoothly shifted and after half an hour the surface of the water became clear. Was it luck or did nature specifically decide to show me the remnants of the ice drift I had missed?

I'm already used to the mysticism around me, but still such moments surprise.

I liked the moving ice floes on long exposure.

In some places, I tried to help the icedrift myself: I pushed the ice floes away from the shore.

This is probably the only advantage of icebreaking on such small rivers - you can safely observe and participate in the process.

I wonder when this ice mass will reach the center of Vologda?

It seems to me that half of them will get lost along the way, or they will get up again somewhere.

I've already come to love these places near the bridge..since about the summer.

After the ice passed here, I went to see what was happening in the city center on the same river.
