Frosty night in Kubenskoye

I've been collecting places that I want to return to for a long time. Kubenskoye is one of them. An important criterion is the comfort of the place, which in turn has components: elevation difference, water bodies, bridges, architecture, church.

The height difference allows you to capture multidimensional views, a distant perspective, and show the area on a large scale.

Water bodies in the form of a river or lake imply an ancient and chaotic building. This means that the streets will not be linear and grid-like, but winding with many alleys and trails.

Water bodies also imply the presence of pedestrian and automobile bridges. Large bridges offer interesting views, and the bridges themselves are an architectural element.

Here one thing follows from the other...

Further, if there is a water body, bridges, and a chaotic layout, it means that the place is historical and it most likely has preserved ancient buildings.

Previously, they settled along rivers, as it was a source of food and a transport route at the same time.

Well, the presence of some kind of temple complex is an important dominant feature of the place.

Kubenskoe is suitable in all respects. But I made this list of comfort criteria a long time ago, even before I got to know this village.

There aren't really many places nearby that have all the items on the list.

Somewhere there are missing churches, somewhere there are bridges, somewhere the architecture is not the same.

That's why I'm currently looking for similar places.

But everything interesting is very far away.
