Along Glushitsa river. Sokol
The Glushitsa is a river in the Vologda Region, flowing through the city of Sokol and the Sokolsky district. It originates from Lake Lebyazhye and flows into the Sukhona River. The length of the river is 52 km. There are dugouts in Sokol on this river near the mouth, which I captured last summer. But I was interested in the river itself and the places on it.
A little upstream from the dugout place and from the automobile bridge, there is a smaller pedestrian bridge.
The river is very winding, which attracted me to it.
In general, I have long been attracted to the Sokolsky district with its interesting and atmospheric places and the presence of dugouts in almost every village.
And this year, I unknowingly began to study bridges on small rivers.
There is another bridge in the area directly at the confluence of the Glushitsa with the Sukhona, but I have not yet reached it.
In this part of Sokol, even a street is named after the river – Glushitskaya.
But I want to go further upstream...

The presence of dugouts in nearly every village adds a layer of mystery and charm. It must feel like stepping into a living story.😊
