Let’s Tourist in Altstadt, Nuremberg

We have reached our final destination in Germany; Nuremberg. We’ll be here for a week and while most our days will be spend working, we have a little time to roam around the city. With a few hours to kill and easily reached with an u-bahn, we headed to Altstadt for the afternoon.

No matter the city, Tallinn, Stockholm, Zurich or Nuremberg, Old Town area is always where I want to be. The buildings are always stunning and interesting, modern architecture has nothing on it. I don’t even care that much to know the history or even what all of the buildings used to be, I’m just here for the visuals. Beautiful things make me happy, simple as that.

We were coming straight from work and I sadly didn’t have my proper camera with me (rookie mistake) so I’m afraid the Iphone has to do. Honestly I was quite pleased with how well it captured basic touristy photos.

good to take a well earned 'working" break, from demolishing walls and building stuff

Always fun to explore when you're on business travel. Excellent photos! How does German wine taste since you and I prefer it over beer (I thought?) @eveuncovered

Germans make excellent Riesling, it’s my go-to for wine back home too, so they do cater very well for us non beer drinkers.

Wonderful! I don't remember Nuremberg being this nice. I guess a professional eye really makes the difference, huh? You guys enjoy yourselves!

PS: That photo of The Man and the church thingy behind him is just gorgeous. You have a fantastic eye, my friend <3

Really? When were you here and did you not visit Old Town? Or did you have your eyes closed? 😝

Looks peaceful and beautiful. Reminds me a little of some parts of Prague.

That doesn’t surprise me, many big old European cities have similar architecture.
