Santuario católico de Jasna Góra en Częstochowa [ESP/ENG]

Hola a todos! cuando estuvimos en la ciudad de Częstochowa, Pawel, Olivia y yo tuvimos la oportunidad de visitar el espectacular santuario católico de Jasna Góra, considerado por muchos como el principal centro de peregrinación de Polonia, y les cuento que llegamos hasta allí, recorriendo toda la Avenida de la Santísima Virgen María que como ya les dije en ese post anterior, fue un paseo que valió totalmente la pena, especialmente por llegar a este hermoso e increíble santuario que es muy conocido porque allí se encuentra el famoso icono de la Virgen de Częstochowa o Virgen Negra.

Hello, everyone! When we were in the city of Częstochowa, Pawel, Olivia, and I had the opportunity to visit the spectacular Catholic sanctuary of Jasna Góra, considered by many to be Poland's main pilgrimage center. I'll tell you that we got there by walking along the entire Avenue of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which, as I mentioned in that previous post, was a walk that was totally worth it, especially because we got to see this beautiful and incredible sanctuary, which is well known for housing the famous icon of the Virgin of Częstochowa, or Black Madonna.

Ahora bien, como ven el lugar estaba llenos de muchos peregrinos e incluso muchos de ellos llegaron hasta allí en bicicleta desde la Península de Hel, esto lo anunciaron por los altavoces y mi esposo Pawel lo tradujo para mí, luego yo también empecé a contarle que en Venezuela también tenemos una tradición así y es que cada año muchos peregrinos van incluso caminando desde otras partes del Táchira hasta la Grita donde se encuentra el santuario del Santo Cristo de La Grita por lo que este paseo fue más que interesante para mí. Como ven, afuera tenian varios toldos donde estaban vendiendo algunas cosas como libros y más, luego de ver un poco allí alrededor, decidimos entrar y esto fue por la puerta principal del santuario de Jasna Góra.

Now, as you can see, the place was full of pilgrims, and many of them had even traveled there by bicycle from the Hel Peninsula. This was announced over the loudspeakers, and my husband Pawel translated it for me. Then I also began to tell him that in Venezuela we also have a similar tradition, and that every year many pilgrims even walk from other parts of Táchira to La Grita, where the sanctuary of Santo Cristo de La Grita is located, so this trip was more than interesting for me. As you can see, outside there were several tents where they were selling things like books and more. After looking around a bit, we decided to go inside, and this was through the main door of the Jasna Góra sanctuary.

Olvidé mencionar que la entrada al santuario es gratuita y a pesar de que había mucha gente allí, la verdad es que no fue difícil hacer el recorrido por el complejo, aunque quizá si en la capillapor el cochecito de Olivia y el montón de gente por lo que mi esposo y ella se quedaron afuera esperando mientras yo iba a conocer el lugar y tomar fotos para mostrarles, como pueden ver allí afuera donde ellos esperaban hay algunas bancas para sentarse por si te cansas aunque ví que muchas personas llevaban sus propias sillas portatiles y muchos fueron preparados con sus paraguas e impermeables para la lluvia y este día lo necesitaban porque al final cayó un gran palo de agua como decimos en Venezuela o una gran lluvia.

I forgot to mention that admission to the sanctuary is free, and even though there were a lot of people there, it wasn't difficult to tour the complex, although perhaps it was in the chapel because of Olivia's stroller and the crowds, so my husband and she waited outside while I went to explore the place and take pictures to show you. As you can see, there are some benches outside where they waited in case you get tired, although I saw that many people brought their own portable chairs and many were prepared with umbrellas and raincoats for the rain, and they needed them that day because in the end it poured down, as we say in Venezuela, or it rained heavily.

El primer lugar interesante al que entré fue a la capilla donde se encuentra el icono de la Virgen Negra de Częstochowa, como ven una capilla preciosa (la historia se las debo porque no pagamos tour para conocerla) pero puedo decirles que tiene una decoración en dorado y blanco espectacular, lamparas lindas, luces adecuadas, varias pinturas religiosas y habían muchas personas frente al altar quizá rezando o esperando la misa.

The first interesting place I went to was the chapel where the icon of the Black Madonna of Częstochowa is located. As you can see, it's a beautiful chapel (I owe you the story because we didn't pay for a tour to see it), but I can tell you that it has spectacular gold and white decoration, beautiful lamps, adequate lighting, several religious paintings, and there were many people in front of the altar, perhaps praying or waiting for Mass.

Luego entré a la basilica, otro lugar interesante del santuario de Jasna Góra, y más grande que la capilla, aún así Pawel y Olivia me esperaron afuera mientras veía la decoración de esta que por supuesto es hermosa también, un techo increíble lleno de imágenes, decoraciones en dorado , bancas para los visitantes, lamparas lindas y varias figuras religiosas. La verdad es que este santuario me sorprendió mucho y me encantó haber tenido la oportunidad de visitarlo, hay más lugares allí que nos faltaron por conocer como la sala de los caballeros o la biblioteca pero aún así recomiendo conocerlo si estan interesados en el catolicismo.

Then I went into the basilica, another interesting part of the Jasna Góra sanctuary, which is bigger than the chapel. Pawel and Olivia waited for me outside while I looked at the decorations, which are also beautiful, of course: an incredible ceiling full of images, gold decorations, benches for visitors, pretty lamps, and various religious figures. The truth is that this sanctuary really surprised me, and I loved having the opportunity to visit it. There are more places there that we didn't get to see, such as the knights' hall and the library, but I still recommend visiting it if you are interested in Catholicism.

Luego llegó la hora de volver pero encantados de este lugar lleno de mucha historia. Afuera hay también un monumento al cardenal Stefan Wyszyński y más figuras interesantes por ahora me despido esperando que les haya gustado nuestro recorrido por este hermoso santuario. Saludos!
