[ESP/ENG] Nikiszowiec, monumento histórico en Katowice

Hola a todos! espero qué estén bien! les cuento que en la busqueda de nuevos lugares cercanos para visitar aquí en Polonia, encontramos Nikiszowiec en la ciudad de Katowice, es que por ahora nos limitamos a visitar solo lugares cerca mientras esperamos mi visado, pues los que me conocen saben que soy venezolana y me encuentro en Polonia hace un par de meses, pero sin duda este lugar fue muy interesante y creo que aún nos quedan muchos sitios para descubrir en este hermoso país.

Hello everyone! I hope you are well! I tell you that in the search for new places to visit nearby here in Poland, we found Nikiszowiec in the city of Katowice, is that for now we limit ourselves to visit only places nearby while waiting for my visa, because those who know me know that I am Venezuelan and I am in Poland a couple of months ago, but certainly this place was very interesting and I think we still have many places to discover in this beautiful country.

Lo mejor de todo, es que cerca de allí, hay un parqueadero gratis, pues a veces esto nos puede preocupar mucho e ir en carro tal vez puede ser más relajado. Así que bien, una vez allí nos dispusimosa caminar por las calles de este lugar lleno de mucha historia, pero pueden verlo ustedes mismos en las fotos de este post.

The best of all, is that there is a free parking lot nearby, because sometimes this can worry us a lot and going by car can be more relaxing. So well, once there we set out to walk through the streets of this place full of history, but you can see for yourselves in the photos of this post.

Hace varios o muchos años, este lugar era el establecimiento de los mineros de la mina Giesche que ahora es llamada Wieczorek. Como ven, son edificios muy peculiares de ladrillos con ventanas rojas (interesantes verdad?), estos eran llamados familoks, y es porque eran edificios de varios pisos o plantas y con varios apartamentos para las familias de los trabajadores de la industria pesada.

Several or many years ago, this place was the settlement of the miners of the Giesche mine which is now called Wieczorek. As you can see, they are very peculiar brick buildings with red windows (interesting right?), these were called familoks, and it is because they were buildings of several floors or floors and with several apartments for the families of the workers of the heavy industry.

Me sorprendió que tiene una iglesia muy bonita y conservada (porque por supuesto entramos para observarla), había una maqueta allí afuera, parada de autobús, y una de las cosas que me encantó de este lugar es por la forma de sus calles en ladrillo y que estaba muy limpio. También porque hay algunas tiendas y todo estaba muy organizado.

I was surprised that it has a very nice and preserved church (because of course we went inside to observe it), there was a model out there, bus stop, and one of the things I loved about this place is because of the shape of its brick streets and that it was very clean. Also because there are some stores and everything was very organized.

También había algún parque aquí para los niños, y otra cosa que me gustaba era los arcos en algunas entradas. Este era un día frío y como ven, aún quedaba un poco de nieve en el suelo. Muchos carros estacionados allí que supongo que son de las personas que ahora viven allí puesto que ahora es una urbanización en la ciudad de Katowice.

There was also some parkland here for the kids, and another thing I liked was the arches at some of the entrances. This was a cold day and as you can see, there was still some snow on the ground. Lots of cars parked there which I guess belonged to the people who now live there since it is now a housing development in the city of Katowice.

También les cuento que a este lugar lo nombraron monumento histórico nacional de Polonia, y claro que estoy de acuerdo porque es un lugar increíble. Por ahora, aquí terminó nuestra visita y espero que les haya gustado este lugar y las fotos tanto como a mí. Saludos!
