Conocimos la península de Hel, Polonia [ESP/ENG]
Hello, everyone! I want to tell you that for some time now, my husband and I have been eager to visit the Hel Peninsula (a wonderful place in Poland surrounded, of course, by the Baltic Sea), but we were just waiting for the perfect moment and weather to do so. So, last weekend, at around 11 a.m., my husband said to me, “Do you want to go to the sea?” To be honest, I wasn't expecting it, but of course I really wanted to, especially to see Hel, but also because ever since I arrived in Poland, I've wanted to visit the city of Gdańsk, so I said yes and started packing my suitcase and Olivia's (which didn't take long), and once we were ready, we fasten our belts and hit the road.
As I mentioned in previous posts, we arrived late on the first day, as it takes approximately six hours to travel from Sosnowiec to the village of Swarzewo (where we would be staying), so it wasn't until the next day that we decided to go to the Hel Peninsula, which, as you can see, took us about 38 minutes to reach from Swarzewo. On the way there, we passed through the villages that make up the peninsula, which are Chałupy, Jastarnia, Jurata, Kuźnica, and finally we arrived in Hel. I remember seeing a lot of vegetation, people riding bicycles, and several shops. Once we got there, I can tell you that it was very easy to park because there are several private parking lots, some more expensive than others, so I recommend shopping around.

Now, once we parked, we were ready to explore this beautiful city, but with the initial plan of reaching the tip of the peninsula, where we saw many beautiful houses and later a small museum or Casa de la Marsopa (Porpoise House) which was very interesting. We then decided to continue up the walkway from where we could calmly observe the sea and took the opportunity to take a family photo. I think many people go there to visit the Fokarium or Seal Aquarium because there was a long line to buy tickets, but we didn't have that plan, so we decided to continue on our way, where we saw that they sell many souvenirs (including seals, of course) and that there are many restaurants there (some with very interesting facades). We continued walking along the main street where we ate some delicious zapiekankas.
Then, with all our energy back after eating, we continued on our way along the path, where there are also benches to rest on with a view of the sea. Along the way, there are restrooms, ice cream stands, and you can take a break to read a little about the military operations that took place in Hel. Then the stone and sand path ended, and we came to another walkway where it was easier to push Olivia's stroller. After walking a little further, we finally reached the end of the peninsula, where Olivia really enjoyed the water, even though it was cold, and we were happy to accompany her and watch her play happily. But I must say that I loved this place, especially because it is a very clean sandy beach. I just needed a higher temperature to decide to take a dip, ha ha ha, but even so, we loved it.
After Olivia enjoyed a nice long bath, it was time to head back. This time, we decided to take a different route, where we saw more food stalls, restaurants, and shops selling military gear, as an important and very touristy spot there is the main military center. Finally, what I can tell you is that Hel has many interesting things to see and is a place I definitely recommend visiting if you come to Poland, as it is a very beautiful place that I am sure you will love as much as we did.

La península es muy linda. Me gusta la vista del mar. Es impresionante como todo está conectado ahí. Algo notable.
The beach has fine white sand and is kept free from trash. It is truly beautiful.
Yes, very clean, this was something I loved 🤗
Beautiful shots! When we lived in Krakow, we were planning to visit this part of Poland as well but somehow never made it there :D :/
