Aunque transcurra el tiempo y cambien las perspectivas de las personas.
Las vivencias, los momentos, las experiencias quedan labradas en lo más profundo del ser y un día amaneces nostálgico a la tierra.
Eso me ocurrió hoy y busque respuestas en las fotografías que guardo y miro una y otra vez.
Les ofrezco un paseo por sus calles, momentos y situaciones de mi querida Cumaná.

Although time goes by and people's perspectives change.
The experiences, the moments, the experiences are carved in the deepest part of the being and one day you wake up nostalgic to the earth.
That happened to me today and I looked for answers in the photographs that I keep and look at again and again.
I offer you a walk through the streets, moments and situations of my beloved Cumaná.

A orillas del río Manzanares, los botes esperan a sus pescadores para comenzar la faena.

On the banks of the Manzanares River, the boats are waiting for their fishermen to begin their work.

De noche la ciudad se desdibuja en el casco histórico como una antigua postal del pasado.

At night the city is blurred in the historic center like an old postcard from the past.

La vida hierve en las afueras del mercado municipal. Compradores y vendedores construyen la economía de la ciudad desde la informalidad.

Life boils outside the municipal market. Buyers and sellers build the city's economy from informality.

Las calles de siempre, los comercios que servían a la ciudad desde muchos años atrás, la mayoría hoy con sus puertas cerradas.
Esas vías tantas veces recorridas huelen a nostalgia.

The streets of always, the stores that served the city since many years ago, most of them today with their doors closed.
Those roads so often traveled smell of nostalgia.

El parque Ayacucho, desde donde Antonio José de Sucre, imponente y vigilante, vive miles de historias creadas a partir de la suya propia.

Ayacucho Park, from where Antonio José de Sucre, imposing and vigilant, lives thousands of stories created from his own.

El mar. Cumaná y sus atardeceres mágicos con los que el cielo y el mar se divierten cada tarde.

The sea. Cumaná and its magical sunsets with which the sky and the sea have fun every afternoon.

El entorno abandonado es una de las imágenes que permanecen y se multiplican. Sueños y proyectos de emprendedores que no llegaron a buen puerto.

The abandoned environment is one of the images that remain and multiply. Dreams and projects of entrepreneurs that did not come to fruition.

La fe y la historia se mantienen en pie como su gente, guardando la esperanza en lo alto del campanario.

Faith and history stand tall as its people, guarding hope at the top of the bell tower.

Muchos se marcharon, las casas tristes hacen lo imposible por mantenerse en pie. Quiero abrir esa puerta y escuchar que fue lo que pasó.
¿Dónde quedó la ciudad que tanto dio a Venezuela?

Many left, sad houses do their best to stay standing. I want to open that door and hear what happened.
Where is the city that gave so much to Venezuela?
