​Hello everyone, these photos are about nature's resilience in the face of human impact.

​In the photos, you can see the Eriocaulon, which is a barrier plant. In addition to indicating whether the soil is healthy or not, this type of plant also prevents polluting nutrients from the wastewater of the El Roble stabilization pond in Guanabacoa, Cuba, from traveling further into natural wells or aquifers and contaminating them.

​Although the plants cannot keep up with all the pollution in this ecosystem where they have germinated, they have formed a plant barrier system to protect nature itself. It is an incredible and beautiful process.

​The settings I used for the photos were:

Hola a todos, estas fotos tratan sobre la resiliencia de la naturaleza frente a la acción antrópica.

En las fotos se puede apreciar el Eriocaulon que es una planta barrera. Este tipo de planta, además de indicar si el suelo es saludable o no, también impide que los nutrientes contaminantes del agua residual de la Laguna de Oxidación de El Roble, Guanabacoa, Cuba, viaje más allá hacia pozos o acuíferos naturales y los contamine.

Aunque las plantas no dan abasto para frenar toda la contaminación que existe en este tipo de ecosistema en el que han germinado, formando un sistema de barrera vegetal para proteger a la misma naturaleza. Es un proceso increíble y hermoso.
