Bitcoin Pizza Day (ESP-ENG)
Hola a todos. Ayer estuve con otros entusiastas de las criptomonedas celebrando el Bitcoin Pizza Day, fue una agradable experiencia en la que no solo conmemoramos una de las primeras transacciones con Bitcoin, sino que también aprendimos sobre las nuevas tecnologías descentralizadas.
Hello everyone. Yesterday I was with other cryptocurrency enthusiasts celebrating Bitcoin Pizza Day, it was a nice experience where we not only commemorated one of the first Bitcoin transactions, but also learned about new decentralized technologies.
El evento comenzó con la participación del líder de la comunidad cubana @manuphotos (él estaba de cumpleaños también 🎊🎈🤗), que explicó y regaló tarjetas de débito para pagos con HBD. Estas tarjetas solo pueden usarse en teléfonos móviles con tecnología NFC, que permite compartir información rápidamente.
The event started with the participation of the Cuban community leader @manuphotos (he was also having a birthday 🎊🎈🤗), who explained and gave away debit cards for HBD payments. These cards can only be used on cell phones with NFC technology, which allows information to be shared quickly.
Otro de los momentos destacados fue la participación del líder de la comunidad de Fivesenses @theinfiltred, quien comenzó su charla haciéndonos preguntas sobre otras aplicaciones descentralizadas de la web3, fuera de Hive, que conocíamos. Varios hivers respondieron y, como recompensa por su estudio, recibieron unas tarjetas con múltiples funcionalidades dentro de la web3 y el avatar del líder pegado en la parte de atrás.
Another highlight was the participation of Fivesenses community leader Eddy, who began his talk by asking us questions about other decentralized web3 applications outside of Hive that we knew about. Several hivers answered and, as a reward for their study, they received cards with multiple functionalities within web3 and the leader's avatar pasted on the back.
De entre las aplicaciones mencionadas, solo me centré en las que se llaman Audius y Silencio, porque, en mi opinión, transmiten fuertes mensajes sociales. Audius es una plataforma descentralizada que permite a los artistas conectar con su audiencia de inmediato. En el evento conocimos a una de las artistas que sube con regularidad contenido desde esta aplicación y, por los comentarios que oí, es muy talentosa. En Audius no hay censura, así que los creadores pueden hacer el contenido que deseen, lo que los empodera por completo. Por otra parte, Silencio es una aplicación que mide el ruido ambiental. Esto es muy importante, porque utiliza la colaboración ciudadana para crear consciencia sobre este problema que nos afecta a todos y más en La Habana. Con estos datos, el gobierno cubano y las organizaciones ambientalistas podrían mejorar la calidad de vida de los ciudadanos si se lo propusieran. Por eso, desde que oí hablar de esta aplicación me interesé más por ella.
Among the applications mentioned, I only focused on the ones called Audius and Silencio, because, in my opinion, they convey strong social messages. Audius is a decentralized platform that allows artists to connect with their audience immediately. At the event we met one of the artists who regularly uploads content from this app and, from the comments I heard, she is very talented. There is no censorship on Audius, so creators can make whatever content they want, which completely empowers them. On the other hand, Silence is an application that measures ambient noise. This is very important, because it uses citizen collaboration to raise awareness about this problem that affects us all and more so in Havana. With this data, the Cuban government and environmental organizations could improve the quality of life of citizens if they put their minds to it. That is why, since I heard about this application, I became more interested in it.
Otro momento importante del evento fueron las pizzas. Mi amiga @osismi quería tomar fotos de cómo se llevaban las pizzas a la mesa en todo momento, pero no pudo. Más bien creo que quería tomar fotos de hasta el más mínimo detalle para recordar todo, pero tampoco pudo. Ella hizo todo lo posible 😁.
Another important moment of the event was the pizzas. My friend @osismi wanted to take pictures of how the pizzas were brought to the table at all times, but she couldn't. I think she wanted to take pictures of every single detail to remember everything, but she couldn't either. I rather think she wanted to take pictures of even the smallest detail to remember everything, but she couldn't either. She tried her best 😁.
Bueno. Faltaron algunos hivers del Instituto de Geología y Paleontología que no pudieron asistir, pero @osismi y yo los representamos y les guardamos algunos presentes que se dieron como obsequio, como pulseras de goma con el nombre de Hive muy claro, para que no quepa duda. Invité a muchos amigos, pero como era un día de trabajo, algunos me dijeron que no podían ir, pero otros fueron, por ejemplo, uno de mis amigos del curso de fotografía al que asisto, quien pronto, si no desiste, estará por aquí en Hive.
Well. There were some hivers from the Institute of Geology and Paleontology who could not attend, but @osismi and I represented them and kept some presents for them as gifts, such as rubber bracelets with the name of Hive very clear, so there is no doubt about it. I invited many friends, but as it was a work day, some told me they couldn't go, but others went, for example, one of my friends from the photography course I attend, who soon, if he doesn't give up, will be here at Hive.
En mi opinión, el Bitcoin Pizza Day fue muy agradable e instructivo, ya que pudimos descubrir nuevas herramientas y profundizar en la web3. También conocimos a gente nueva y charlamos un poco sobre temas de interés común. Algunos dijeron que deberíamos conectar más porque se trata de una red social y estoy de acuerdo, estos tipos de eventos permiten que los participantes nos conozcamos y entremos en confianza poco a poco.
In my opinion, the Bitcoin Pizza Day was very enjoyable and instructive, as we were able to discover new tools and go deeper into web3. We also met new people and chatted a bit about topics of common interest. Some said that we should connect more because it is a social network and I agree, these types of events allow participants to get to know each other and build trust little by little.
Me alegra tu post ,pasamos un buen rato y aprendimos bastante. Lo único que lamento es que pusiste todas las fotos que compartimos y ahora no puedo recuperar lo invertido.🥲
