It's Good To Be Home.

Home sweet home. It has been a while since I have visited home due to work. Life has been unfolding piece by piece but I always remember my roots. I remember where I was nurtured with love, where my fond memories reside, where the melody of familiarity compels my spirit to be free and where the scent of home-cooked meals is a nostalgic whisper.

Over the weekend, I decided to travel back home to spend some time with my parents and family. I have missed home so much that I was excited for the journey. To surprise my family, I didn't announce my coming and seeing them scream when they me saw was the best feeling ever. There is a saying, "For home is a treasure that can't be denied, a refuge of love, where the heart feels safe."

As I got home, I was welcomed by my parents and some of my siblings with their kids who I haven't seen for a long time. I thought I would go home to surprise them but I was surprised instead. I was so happy to see all of them in good health and especially my parents. It was nice to be able to hold them again.

After spending some quality time with my parents and siblings, immediately I found my way to my favorite spot, my mom's garden. The garden is older than me as it existed before I was born, four decades ago and it's still here. I love spending time there more than my other siblings hence why I was able to help my mom with it when I was a teenager.

In this garden, I created a lot of peaceful and happy memories there with my parents especially my mom. I usually go there to relax, and also have my quiet time there, I am always there. I love nature, I can't do without it even in my home, I have plants that keep me connected to nature. In this post I will show some beautiful plants and flowers that I find fascinating.

I know this plant as white passion flower as my mom call it. Then when I was little, I would always pick them and attached them to my hair. I love the pure color and the dark middle, but as I grew old, I discovered my mom used it to relieve her joint pain. This plant has lots of uses which you can read up on the internet. According to Wikipedia one of its common name is white buttercup.

The two plants above, I don't know their name and uses but they are one of my favorites. They have bright colors and beautiful pattern designs. Also, towards the evening time they give off a nice garden smell. Maybe that why some people have it in their homes.

The plants above are different from each other but they are of the same family which is the hibiscus family, according to Wikipedia. Here in my country we pick them and air dry them which we later use for tea and flavored drinks.

It was a beautiful weekend for me and now that I am back home, I miss home that I feel like going back to sit in the garden to just enjoy the view and care for the plants. I will be posting the rest of the pictures I took there later on.

All images above are mine and taken by me. Header image edited by me.

These are very beautiful pictures packed with a lot of emotion. At first I thought it was one of those aesthetic gardens you seem on TV. Very colourful and peaceful, I'm not surprised at all that it was your favourite spot.
Looking forward to more beautiful pictures. Glad that you've met your family in good health.🌺🤗

The feeling of going back home to meet loved ones is second to none. The bonding time is always so precious. Good thing your mom's garden remained the same; beautiful as ever.

All the pictures above are really beautiful. That of white flower was my favorite.

Wow, this is a sincere and warm story that celebrates the simple joys of returning home. You have captured the very essence of what "home" means, a place representing a haven of memories and love.

The surprise of your family at your arrival captures the spontaneous and unconditional love within the family. And I sincerely believe that this is one of the most beautiful things.

In real life, I'm not particularly fond of showing my feelings to my family. I have a lot of trouble with that. Yet, for Christmas, my mother gave me a hug after I gave her her present, and there are few things as warm as feeling the love of one's parents.

I get you, but still you came with present for your mother that was thoughtful and it is another way you showed your feelings. Thank you for your comment

Yes, I digitized all the videos she took of us (my brother, my sister and me) when we were little.

This way, she'll always be able to watch them. She hadn't seen them in over 20 years.

Firstly, your shots are super cool and I wish I could pick those flowers out of the phone. Your love for nature must definitely be a hereditary thing.

Home is indeed a beautiful place to be, I love being there because it means more than just a building to me. Reuniting with family after a while is beautiful, I bet you will create new memories before leaving...

Like they say, no place is like home. Wow this garden is really amazing, your family must have spend a fortune and time to keep it intact. It is not really easy to maintain a garden and from what I'm seeing in this pictures you guys have done an amazing job.
