[ESP/ENG] Paseando por el Barrio Getsemani en Cartagena

Hola a todos, espero que su día haya ido de maravilla. Hoy paso por aqui para contarles de un lugar muy bonito y colorido que tuvimos la oportunidad de visitar en Cartagena. Se trata del Barrio Getsemani y les cuento que si van a Cartagena no pueden perderse estelugar tan hermoso. Afortunadamente, Jose y yo buscamos hospedarnos en un airbnb que tuviera buena ubicacion y a que no adivinan que? Justamente nos quedamos en el airbnb Los Patios que esta ubicado en el mismo Barrio asi que al salir del airbnb a la vuelta de la esquina teniamos todas estas paredes pintadas tan hermosas que les mostraré a continuación.

Hello everyone, I hope your day has been going great. Today I am passing by to tell you about a very nice and colorful place that we had the opportunity to visit in Cartagena. It is Barrio Getsemani and I tell you that if you go to Cartagena you can not miss this beautiful place. Fortunately, Jose and I were looking for an airbnb that had a good location and guess what? We stayed at the airbnb Los Patios which is located in the same neighborhood so when we left the airbnb just around the corner we had all these beautiful painted walls that I will show you below.

Como saben, hace mucho calor allí asi que no olviden irse los más frescos posibles a caminar por este hermoso lugar. En las calles encontraran una gran cantidad de restaurantes donde la decisión más dificil va a ser escoger donde comer. Nosotros no comimos nada allí porque teniamos otros planes con unos amigos que nos acompañaron en el viaje. Pero tambien observamos que en las calles de Getsemani, encuentran cocteles a buen precio, cocteles 2x1 y asi, donde obviamente no ibamos a perder la oportunidad asi que decidimos ir a probarlos al final del día.

As you know, it is very hot there so do not forget to go as cool as possible to walk around this beautiful place. In the streets you will find a lot of restaurants where the hardest decision will be to choose where to eat. We did not eat there because we had other plans with some friends who accompanied us on the trip. But we also noticed that in the streets of Getsemani, you can find cocktails at good prices, cocktails 2x1 and so on, where obviously we were not going to miss the opportunity so we decided to go and try them at the end of the day.

En las calles pudimos observar señores vestidas del color de la bandera de colombia donde ofrecen que te tomes fotos con ellas y luego darles algo pero nos recoemndaron no hacerlo ya que pueden ser un tanto atrevidas y decirte que por la foto tienes que pagar un valor que no esperabas. Tambien en las calles de getsemani encuentran tiendas o personas en la calle venidendo souvenirs muy hermosos y a un buen precio. Eso si, no se dejen engañar. Si les ven caras de turistas van a pedirles mas por algo que vale menos asi que por eso nosotros preferimos comprarlos en un local donde vendian artesanias y souvenirs.

In the streets we could see ladies dressed in the color of the Colombian flag where they offer you to take pictures with them and then give them something but we were advised not to do it because they can be a bit daring and tell you that for the picture you have to pay a value that you did not expect. Also in the streets of Getsemani you will find stores or people on the street selling beautiful souvenirs at a good price. But don't be fooled. If you see tourist faces they will ask you more for something that is worth less, so that's why we preferred to buy them in a shop selling handicrafts and souvenirs.

El atardecer de getsemani me dejó impactada, pueden hacer unas hermosas fotos y si o si todas van a salir espectaculares asi que lleven una buena camara para fotografiarlo. Tambien como ven hay muchas banderas de todos los paises colgadas arriba en las calles. Jose y to estabamoscontentos de estar alli, los colores nos encantaron de cada lugar y lo luminoso que es. Otra recomendacion es que si van en grupo traten de ir temprano porque todo se llena y luego caminar o encontrar un lugar donde vendan cocteles desocupado será muy complicado.

The sunset of Getsemani left me in awe, you can take some beautiful pictures and if or if they are all going to be spectacular so take a good camera to photograph it. Also as you can see there are many flags of all the countries hanging up in the streets. Jose and I were very happy to be there, we loved the colors of each place and how bright it is. Another recommendation is that if you go in a group try to go early because everything gets crowded and then walking or finding a place where they sell cocktails unoccupied will be very complicated.

Asi que ya saben, este lugar es perfecto para compartir unos tragos con amigos ya que podran tomarse varios cocteles por el precio de uno y mucho mas baratos que un restaurante normal. Ahora bien, hay restaurantes de todo tipo allí pueden encontrar economicos y otros muy muy costosos pero toda la comida que probamos allá desde la más barata hasta la más "cara" estuvo muy sabrosa. Todo lo que pagues por tu comida allá vale la pena ya que tienen muy buena sazón para absolutamente todo. Eso fué todo por hoy, espero que les haya gustado. Nos leemos en un proximo post. Un abrazo

So you know, this place is perfect to share a few drinks with friends because you can have several cocktails for the price of one and much cheaper than a normal restaurant. Now, there are restaurants of all kinds there you can find economical and others very very expensive but all the food we tried there from the cheapest to the most “expensive” was very tasty. Everything you pay for your meal there is worth it because they have very good seasoning for absolutely everything. That's all for today, I hope you liked it. See you in a future post. Best regards
