[ESP/ENG] New point shopping center and walk through the streets of San Andrés

Hola a todos, espero que su semana siga yendo de maravilla. Hoy paso por aquí para seguirles contando de nuestro maravilloso paseo. Así que por eso hoy vengo a hablarles un poco del centro comercial new point y de nuestra caminata nocturna por las calles de San Andrés. Sin duda alguna ha sido una increíble experiencia y a pesar de que el calor era bastante fuerte, la playa contrarrestaba esto.

Hello everyone, I hope your week is still going great. Today I stop by to continue telling you about our wonderful walk. So today I am here to tell you a little bit about the new point mall and our night walk through the streets of San Andres. Without a doubt it has been an incredible experience and even though the heat was quite strong, the beach counteracted this.

José y yo después de un gran día de playa. Decidimos ir al hotel a bañarnos y ponernos preciosos para caminar por San Andrés. Yo inmediatamente saqué mi mejor vestido y salimos para ver con que nos encontrábamos. Por todas las calles hay muchas estatuas como las que verán en la próxima foto y al seguir caminando nos encontramos con el centro comercial al que decidimos entrar para descubrir que podíamos encontrar alli.

Jose and I after a great day at the beach. We decided to go to the hotel to swim and get ready to walk around San Andres. I immediately took out my best dress and we went out to see what we would find. All over the streets there are many statues like the ones you will see in the next picture and as we continued walking we came across the shopping mall which we decided to enter to find out what we could find there.

Este centro comercial es un poco al estilo antiguo. Aquí no encuentras escaleras eléctricas ni nada de eso. Tampoco hay tiendas reconocidas tipo Adidas o franquicias. Solo hay tienditas donde puedes comprar ropa de playa, souvenirs y más estatuas. Observando encontré una que otra tiendita donde vendían postres pero que realmente no se veían llamativos. Si les soy sincera, entre para hacerme fotos y así mostrarles un poco de este sitio.

This mall is a bit old style. There are no escalators or anything like that. There are no well-known stores like Adidas or franchises either. There are only little shops where you can buy beachwear, souvenirs and more statues. Looking around I found one or two little shops where they sold desserts but they didn't really look flashy. To be honest, I went in to take pictures and show you a little bit of this place.

Al salir del centro comercial, nos dispusimos a buscar donde cenar porque estábamos hambrientos. Por alguna razón sentía que banarme todo el día en la playa me dió mucha hambre. Así que vimos algunos restaurantes fancys y otros de comida rápida reconocida tipo Qbano, Domino's pizza o el corral. Nosotros viendo las opciones, nos decidimos por el corral porque no había tanta gente y los precios eran más accesibles en comparación con los restaurantes que les mencioné anteriormente.

When we left the mall, we set out to find a place to eat dinner because we were starving. For some reason I felt that eating all day on the beach made me very hungry. So we looked at some fancys and other well-known fast food restaurants like Qbano, Domino's pizza or El Corral. Looking at the options, we decided to go for the corral because there were not so many people and the prices were more affordable compared to the restaurants I mentioned before.

Después de comer, decidimos seguir caminando y disfrutando de las calles de San Andrés mientras esperábamos encontrarnos con un amigo para conversar y tomarnos unas cervezas. La foto anterior es un lugar donde venden cócteles para disfrutarlos en la playa pero este sitio ya estaba cerrado, así que solo aproveché la parte de atrás ya que es perfecta para hacerse fotos.

After lunch, we decided to continue walking and enjoying the streets of San Andres while waiting to meet a friend to talk and have a few beers. The picture above is a place where they sell cocktails to enjoy them on the beach but this place was already closed, so I only took advantage of the back since it is perfect for taking pictures.

Asi que ya después de un par de fotos. Volvimos al corral y justo al frente hay un local donde también venden comida rápida y algunas bebidas. Aquí estuvimos un largo rato con nuestro amigo y así como ven en la foto son los precios aquí. La verdad los precios de las bebidas son iguales que aquí en Medellín y si hablamos de la atención en todos los lugares te atienden un poco grosero. Eso creería que es algo muy normal allí.

So after a couple of pictures we went back to the corral. We went back to the corral and just in front of it there is a place where they also sell fast food and some drinks. Here we spent a long time with our friend and as you can see in the picture are the prices here. The truth is that the prices of the drinks are the same as here in Medellin and if we talk about the attention in all the places you are served a little rude. I would think that is something very normal there.

Y ya para finalizar, mi amigo nos estuvo mostrando un poco más de San Andrés. El nos aconsejó de donde podíamos conseguir algunas cosas que necesitamos para nuestro paseo del día siguiente del cual les hablaré en un próximo post e incluso nos mostró donde quedaban las letras de San Andrés en las que todo el mundo se hace fotos para que yo pudiera hacerme unas también.

And finally, my friend was showing us a bit more of San Andres. He advised us where we could get some things we needed for our walk the next day which I will tell you about in a future post and he even showed us where the letters of San Andres were where everyone takes pictures so I could take some too.
