A few days ago, I had the opportunity to accompany my husband on a scientific expedition. The truth is, I didn't want to go because, often, these meetings between researchers turn into professional discussions that I neither understand nor enjoy because they're not in my field of expertise.

But everything changed when we arrived at the study site, which consisted of evaluating the geological and climatic conditions to determine the Coastal Vulnerability Index in this part of the country.

I have to confess that I enjoyed this scientific discussion because they talked about the possibility that, with the high temperatures we're experiencing every year, the polar ice caps will continue to melt and the sea level will continue to rise. According to these scientists, this is fatal for countries with flat terrain, as they will be buried under the sea.

In my ignorance and in the face of such beauty, I couldn't believe that such beautiful places were the scene of such serious events. However, based on all the explanations given there, the reality is that they were.
