I recently went on a trip that was an injection of life. It is incredible what this trip provoked in me and what it brought me emotionally. It was a trip to a natural place where pollution has not yet arrived and where incredible things happened to me, but all for the better.

For some time I had not had such a beautiful contact with nature. It is true that on some occasions I visit the beaches of the municipality or the province where I live, but the landscape and the cleanliness of the environment do not compare with what I experienced on this excursion.

I tell you that the title of the publication has all the intention because this was a farewell trip and very romantic because of the five people who went we were two couples and the other a great friend. In the case of the other couple it would be our farewell to them because they went to live in another country.

So, you can imagine all the emotions that this trip produced in us.
The destination of our excursion was a place known as Villa Carbuni, located in the Guamuhaya Massif, one of the main mountain systems in Cuba. But, what I didn't know was that an unsuspected adventure was about to come into my life.

It turns out that the excursion package included two physical activities: the Canopy Tour, in which we could enjoy this incredible adventure, but very dangerous for me. The other was a ride on a lake on water bikes. I chose the second option because I always wanted to ride a water bike and see how I could move through the water with the strength of my legs.

Thanks to my friend I was able to fulfill my dream of riding a water bike because it took two people, and she was the only one willing to go with me. My husband encouraged me later, but my friend Aracelis (coincidentally, they both have the same name), the one who rode alone, was the one who accompanied me in this adventure.

I can tell you that it was more relaxing and easier than I thought it would be and, in spite of not completing the 30 minutes allowed, I was able to ride for 19 minutes. I must confess that my lack of physical training prevented me from completing the full time.

After refreshing ourselves with some beers we headed to Villa Carbuni where we would have our final adventure. Here a curious thing happened to me that constituted the most important anecdote of the excursion and in which my other friend called Aracelis was also the main protagonist.

It turns out that in this place there are some incredible places where you can bathe and you don't necessarily need to swim. I had left my clothes to bathe in the river or the beach and it was hot, besides, the water was an invitation to swim. Then came the dilemma: What to do?

Since I didn't have a bathing suit, my friend gave me the blouse she was wearing and changed her clothes, and if I wet the only blouse I had, I would have to wear the wet one during the return trip. Faced with this situation, I took off my blouse and took a bath with the blouse and the rest in direct contact with the water. Only my friend knew about it. The others, including my husband, found out when I told them on the way back to our house.

After enjoying the whole excursion, a delicious and necessary lunch was waiting for us, which allowed us to regain strength, and after a well-deserved rest and exchange with other travelers, we started our trip back home.

Recientemente realicé una excursión que fue una inyección de vida. Es increíble lo que este viaje provocó en mí y lo que en plano emocional me aportó. Fue un viaje a un paraje natural en el que la contaminación no ha llegado todavía y en el que me pasaron cosas increíbles, pero, todas para bien.

Desde hace algún tiempo no tenía un contacto tan bello con la naturaleza. Es cierto que en algunas ocasiones visito las playas del municipio o la provincia donde vivo, pero, el paisaje y la limpieza del entorno no se comparan con lo vivido en esta excursión.

Les cuento que el título de la publicación tiene toda la intención porque este fue un viaje de despedida y muy romántico porque de las cinco personas que fuimos estábamos dos parejas y la otra una gran amiga. En el caso del otro matrimonio sería nuestra despedida de ellos porque se fueron a vivir a otro país.

Así que, pueden imaginar todas las emociones que nos produjo este viaje.
El destino de nuestra excursión fue un lugar conocido como Villa Carbuni, ubicada en el Macizo de Guamuhaya, uno de los principales sistemas montañosos de Cuba. Pero, lo que no sabía es que una aventura insospechada estaba por llegar a mi vida.

Resulta que en el paquete de la excursión están incluidas dos actividades físicas: el Canopy Tour, en el que podíamos disfrutar de esta aventura increíble, pero muy peligrosa para mí. La otra era un paseo por un lago en bicicletas acuáticas. Escogí la segunda opción porque siempre quise montar en una bicicleta acuática y ver cómo avanzaba por el agua con la fuerza de mis piernas.

Gracias a mi amiga pude cumplir mi sueño de montar bicicleta acuática porque se necesitaban dos personas y, la única dispuesta a acompañarme fue ella. Mi esposo se animó después, pero, mi amiga Aracelis (casualmente las dos se llaman así) la que andaba sola fue la que me acompaño en esta aventura.

Les cuento que fue más relajante y sencillo de lo que pensaba y, a pesar de no cumplir los 30 minutos permitidos sí pude estar pedaleando por 19 minutos. Debo confesar que mi falta de entrenamiento físico impidió cumplir el tiempo completo.

Después de refrescar con algunas cervezas nos dirigimos a la Villa Carbuni donde tendríamos nuestra aventura final. Aquí me pasó una cosa curiosa que constituyó la anécdota más importante de la excursión y en la que mi otra amiga llamada Aracelis también fue protagonista principal.

Resulta que en este lugar hay unos lugares increíbles en los que puedes bañarte y no necesariamente necesitas nadar. A mí se me habían quedado mis prendas para bañarme en el río o la playa y hacía calor, además, el agua era una invitación a bañarse. Ahí vino la disyuntiva: ¿Qué hacer?.

Como no traía juego de baño mi amiga me dio el blusón que ella traía puesto y se cambió de ropa y si mojaba el único blúmer que traía tendría que andar con el mojado durante el viaje de regreso. Ante esta situación me quité el blúmer y me bañé con el blusón y lo demás en contacto directo con el agua. Sólo mi amiga lo sabía. Los demás, incluido mi esposo, se enteraron cuando les conté de regreso a nuestra casa.

Después de disfrutar de toda la excursión nos esperaba un rico y necesario almuerzo que nos permitió reponer fuerzas, para después del merecido reposo y el intercambio con otros viajeros, emprender el viaje de regreso a casa.
